PPI
A new online accredited course is available entitled "Proton Pump Inhibitor's (PPI) and the Treatment of GERD, Dyspepsia and NSAID-associated Peptic Ulcer Disease"

The aim of the course is to increase general practitioners', family physicians' and other healthcare practitioners' awareness of PPIs in the management of upper GI conditions including GERD, peptic ulcer disease and dyspepsia.

Following completion of the course, learners should be able to:
  1. Understand the role of double-dose PPI therapy and compare various PPIs and their effects on clinically important outcomes.
  2. Recognize clinical scenarios where PPIs may be inappropriately utilized and re-assess medication therapy.
  3. Define the role of PPI therapy in the treatment of asthma and laryngeal symptoms.
  4. Understand the complications of Long-Term PPI Use.
